maty­sik zeigt eine ers­te zusam­men­schau sei­nes bis­he­ri­gen schaf­fens: arbei­ten mit gehöl­zen in form einer weiß­dorn­skulp­tur im gar­ten sowie einer thu­jen­in­stal­la­ti­on (vgl. auch 95.01) im tür­rah­men, model­le zukünf­ti­ger pflan­zen­for­men in vitri­nen als auch model­le zu wei­te­ren gehölz­skulp­tu­ren. im zen­trum der aus­stel­lung steht die prä­sen­ta­ti­on einer von maty­sik fin­gier­ten publi­ka­ti­ons­rei­he, die er mit der schrift flo­ra futu­ra­lis. grund­la­gen zu einer neu­en flo­ra eröff­net. mit die­sem theo­re­ti­schen unter­bau lei­tet er früh die erwei­te­rung sei­ner arbeit um eine wis­sen­schaft­li­che kom­po­nen­te ein.

maty­sik exhi­bits the first coll­ec­tion of his pre­vious crea­ti­ons: works from wood in the form of a hawt­horn gar­den sculp­tu­re, as well as a cyprus tree instal­la­ti­on (see also 95.01) in a door frame, models of future plant forms in glass cases and models of fur­ther wood sculp­tures. in the cen­ter of the exhi­bi­ti­on maty­sik pres­ents his fic­ti­tious publi­ca­ti­on series, which opens with the book flo­ra futu­ra­lis: foun­da­ti­ons of a new flo­ra. with this theo­re­ti­cal infra­struc­tu­re, he thus alre­a­dy intro­du­ces sci­en­ti­fic com­pon­ents into his expan­ding body of work.
