das interdisziplinäre ausstellungsprojekt widmet sich aktuellen positionen der naturgestaltung an der schnittstelle von kunst und landschaftsarchitektur, die sich zwischen utopie und bereits realisierten projekten bewegen. die natur wird dabei als ressource für architektonisches design thematisiert. in diesem kontext erfährt matysiks installation von 1999 für die berner ausstellung »i never promised you a rosegarden« (vgl. 99.06) eine neuauflage: eine sich durch den boden des künstlerhauses bahn brechende schuttfläche vereint subtropische grünpflanzen und modelle postevolutionärer organismen pflanzlichen ursprungs. ein schauplan gibt auskunft über lage und eigenschaften der vertretenen gewächse. matysiks beitrag steht hier für ein visionäres symbiotisches konzept im naturdesign.
the interdisciplinary exhibition project addresses current positions of natural design where art and landscape architecture intersect, and which move between utopian and already realized projects. nature is meanwhile addressed as a resource for architectural design. taken in this context matysik’s exhibition in bern in 1999 »i never promised you a rosegarden« (see 99.06)has a new edition; a mound of rubble pushing up through the floor of the künstlerhaus brings together subtropical green plants and models of post-evolutionary organisms from plant origins. a poster diagram gives information about the location and characteristics of the represented plants. matysik’s contribution symbolizes a visionary symbiotic concept in natural design.
